I've jumped a bit but essentially the background was created on a wooden panel using a stencil. The board was painted in black colour and wiped off and various washes of browns etc applied. The Detail that came from the stencil was highlighted in places with yellow the idea was to create a victorian street lit in part from the windows but otherwise gloomy.
The Dodo was finished in various mettalic colours - the beak , camera. parts of the plummage. Necktie Red and waistcoat purple, other parts of plummage in grey.The who picture was given some coats of varnish.
All in all an interesting subject , the finished item will be listed in the shop.
